We employ enthusiastic and energetic people who create a great experience for our customers. Our Receptionists, Lifeguards, Leisure and Sports Attendants all have regular training to keep their customer service, lifesaving, health and safety practices and qualifications up to date. Our Learning and Development Team provide management and people development training starting with Induction for all our new staff. Everyone has a Personal Development Plan, which is reviewed at least twice a year as part of their Appraisal. We encourage and support our staff to apply for internal vacancies, as and when they arise, and we are always developing our opportunities. Examples of our Learning and Development opportunities are:
- Job Shadowing
- Regular monthly on-site training
- Internal Health and Safety training including Manual Handling, Fire Prevention and COSHH
- Internal developmental training including Customer Focus, Managing Stress, Presentational Skills
- Internal management development training including Appraisal, Recruitment and Selection, Situational Leadership
- Accredited training including Royal Life Saving Society UK National Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, National Pool Plant Operator, SVQ Children’s Care Learning and Development
- External computer training including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Special projects and working parties.
